This shows a huge performance increase over the unoptimized code. What the profiler doesn t tell you directly is when the program is taking the wrong approach to solve a problem. The bubble-sort system doesn t scale and isn t the fastest way to sort a medium-sized list, but it does work well for smaller lists. Instead of investing effort in making the code go faster, the smarter approach is to consider replacing poorly performing sections with code implemented to best handle the expected use cases.
